What this means in practice
You can:
- Use picoDiffusion for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes.
- Modify the code and share your modified version, as long as you use the same licence and credit the original project.
- Include it in blog posts, tutorials, videos, or other non-commercial content.
You cannot:
- Sell picoDiffusion or a modified version of it.
- Include it in a paid product or service.
- Remove the attribution or claim you created the original project.
- Relicence it under different terms.
This licence applies to
The picoDiffusion source code, documentation, and website content.
It does not apply to:
- Third-party model files (checkpoints, LoRAs, VAEs) — those have their own licences set by their creators.
- Images you generate — those are yours, subject to the licence of the checkpoint you used.
- Third-party libraries (PyTorch, Diffusers, FastAPI, etc.) — those have their own licences.
